Set the carpet backing into the carpet adhesive or hot glue.
Carpet thread glue.
Thread a 6 inch upholstery needle with the thread then tie a knot at the end of the thread.
When removing longer snags put masking tape on either side of the snag to form a trench.
Press the fibers firmly into the glue.
